There have been a host of major changes in the release of 3.5 and developers are going to have a field day with some of new changes that have been made recently (all which you can see directly here).
I’m especially appreciating some of the multisite changes as we’ve been experimenting with that particular build for some projects and looking to deploy something neat this coming year.
Justin Sternberg and Andrew Nacin have called out a few key things of note though through the core blog that will catch a few developers up to speed as they first dig in, the first being changes to admin columns for custom taxonomies and the second being the annoying but manageable PHP warnings that you might be getting already, especially if you’re looking for:
PHP Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare().
Don’t worry, the sky isn’t falling – it’s just the WordPress 3.5 update!
Head over to their notes and review as needed:
If you’re a developer, have you already encountered these changes? Have any implementations you want to share with the crowd here?
