Are you a fan of LESS or Sass preprocessors? Because if you are then you’re going to be stoked to find that they are both now available via your CSS Editor on both WordPress.com and your self-hosted solutions (via Jetpack).
Yeah, I know, right? That’s a big deal, especially for those that spend a lot of time tweaking, editing, and creating new CSS and styles for their blogs, their clients, and their projects. For the uninitiated, a preprocessor are extensions to CSS to simply allow you to manage your CSS with more ease.
It may sound more complicated than it actually is, but don’t fear, as you can easily get started with a tutorial and overview Getting Started with Sass or Using the LESS CSS Preprocessor for Smarter Style Sheets and you choose your preprocessor to work with.
This is a smart move and a very helpful one that can provide even more value for those looking to use WordPress even more. Their have been a ton of CSS-related plugins that have a good job of assisting with preprocessors but having this built-in natively to the already-heavily adopted Jetpack seems like a no-brainer now.
Have fun styling with even more awesomeness!
Now, here’s the big question, especially for those that are new… do you go Sass or LESS? Which one do you use?
