A little off-topic but I thought I’d throw it in there for the heck of it.
How about the winners? Surprised? How about those speeches or Seth MacFarlane’s hosting performance?
I was pleasantly surprised by Ben Affleck’s emotional speech as I remember his first win nearly 16 years ago – it’s been an “interesting” past decade and a half for that guy, right?
I’d share more of my thoughts on this topic but I think that would give me away as being more into movies and entertainment than I’d like to admit, at least for today.
One winner though was the National Post who used WordPress and their live blog feature via WordPress VIP (oh, there it is, the WordPress relationship in this post…). Metro.co.uk did as well using the same technology:
For these much larger productions the cost of $500 per month isn’t that big of a deal but for most bloggers who can’t sport that type of cash you can actually get the live blog plugin for free from the WordPress repo!
We’ve even been using it here for a few live blog events for select WordCamps where we can get someone to handle it. So far the results have been great.
In any case, have any final thoughts for the 2013 Oscars?
