Daily Theme & Plugin Roundup – 4.25.2013

Happy Thursday everyone! I have another new theme to share with you today and some new plugins as well. The Wordsmith theme is definitely clean and focuses on the content. One of the plugins today is Google+ Comments that John shared yesterday.

Wordsmith

New Plugins

5. TVST Countdown – A plugin for displaying a countdown to the next episode of your favorite show. Perfect for the blogs related to a TV show.
6. Google+ Comments – This Google+ comment system replaces your WordPress comment system with your G+ powered comments hosted by Google.

Twenty Thirteen

For WordPress.com, the new yearly WordPress theme is now available. Twenty Thirteen is definitely a vibrant and colorful theme. It’s definitely a change from the minimal designs from Twenty Twelve and Twenty Eleven. The theme was designed by Joen Asmussen and then built by members of the WordPress community.

The 2013 theme for WordPress.com is is colorful, opinionated, and ready to give your blog a warm, welcoming vibe.

The new theme is built for a single column layout without a sidebar and they have added footer widgets. Each post format has it’s own styling and they go the full width of the page. Check out the demo yourself!
