I’ve shared more than a few times about my interest in what Ev Williams is doing with Medium.com and I finally got my invite to try it out. Oh yay!
I was so excited but I waited nearly a full day so that I could sit down and capture my first-hand experience on video, which I did in the following 8 minute video.
What’s fascinating, as you will find, is that I “missed” a few features as I walked through it! Chris, who had gotten in months ago, casually signaled to me that I could do what I supposed I couldn’t do if I just did one additional thing.
Fabulous.
I won’t spare you any more time reading when you can watch my experience with Medium:

Here are also some still image captures of the back-end and other options:
Medium wide-screen above and then responsive below of my profile, which can be found here: https://medium.com/@saddington
I could easily edit my profile and name by just clicking in those text areas. I like that.
Drafts above and metrics and analytics below:
Finally, my settings panel. Quite simple compared to WordPress, no?
Overall, I’m very impressed with Medium and I really think there’s something special here. Whatever they choose to do I just hope they don’t lose this very fantastic foundation.
