Twitter Refreshes Their Blog, Chooses Drupal

All good I suppose.

Twitter refreshed their blog the other day and I was hoping, against all hopes perhaps, that they would have chosen WordPress as their technology of choice.

But no – they decided to use Drupal of all things. It’s not that I don’t like Drupal as I’ve used it before, but I’m finding it less and less attractive for the reasons that it was once attractive to begin with. This is especially true in the maturation of WordPress as an application framework of sorts.

I’ll be alright but I am naturally curious as to why they chose Drupal and what plans they have for utilizing the technology for more than just blogging. I don’t see much outside the use of the categories and the search.

I guess in time we’ll see – it would have been nice for WordPress to post a “win” here but it is what it is.
