Apparently ZippyKid is going to be a whole lot more zippy than before (yes, I suppose I went there).
Now, with a new partnership in place, ZippyKid will be delivering even faster speeds for their clients and customers leveraging ngx_pagespeed designed to automatically apply speed and web performance best practices:
We partnered with the PageSpeed team at Google to develop a new service designed to dramatically reduce page load times. Best of all, you’ll see significant performance gains without changing a single line of code or installing a plugin.
The fact that existing customers won’t have to lift a finger is a big win for the ever-growing client list that ZippyKid is compiling. So what can you really expect from ZippyKid’s new partnership with the god of search engines?
Apparently a bunch as internal benchmark tests show a 75% reduction in page sizes and a 50% improvement in page rendering speeds.
It’s worth noting that rendering speeds is not the same thing as page load time, which is often confused.
And here’s a look at speed index as well as web page size:
Please note that this program and introduction to this even newer ZippyKid is in BETA form so you’ll have to sign up if you’re an existing customer to get some access.
Great job guys and thanks for continuing to push the boundaries of WordPress managed hosting as it becomes a much more serious player in today’s hosting marketplace.
