Daily Theme & Plugin Roundup – 5.19.2013

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all are able to get some rest and relaxation today. I only have a few new and updated plugins to share today. They are not too shabby 🙂

Plugin and Theme Descriptions

Since I spend time everyday checking out the theme and plugin directories, I see quite a few descriptions. I have a few thoughts that I think could help some folks out with these.

First off, use spellcheck. It’s relatively easy to find and use spellcheck in almost any application you use to write. It could be an instant red flag to someone to not download because the author can’t spell things correctly.

The second thing is try not to use too many adjectives. Things like super, extremely, crazy, etc.. There’s nothing more cheesy than saying something like, “the most super easy and lightest weight plugin on the face of the planet that makes your site crazy faster than using X plugin.”

Lastly, don’t include links to other sites in your description. It looks like spam and people don’t like spam.
