How the Suzette got started in WordPress
Suzette started doing web dev for 8 years. 5 years ago she discovered WordPress. She setup a client on WordPress. She started developing custom themes on WordPress. When the theme shop folded, she applied for a WordPress evangelism position where she now attends WordPress events in the community.

Pressing topics
- The WordPress Community needs an attitude adjustment. The community is passionate and has strong opinions.
- Matt Cutts, of Google’s Webspam team, switches his blog from Thesis to Genesis. The Automattic Theme Team built the site and migrated it.
- Page.ly acquires BlogDroid for an undisclosed amount and will migrate BlogDroid customers over.

- Dre – TBTestimonials is Powerful Testimonial Management plugin. Create and use custom Output Templates anywhere on your site. Use the shortcode, function, or included widget to display your testimonials to your users.
- Brad – Jetpack Slideshow Caption.Jetpack’s handling of photo’s captions doesn’t work well with long captions (as it overlays the caption above the photo). This plugin modifies the layout so that the caption is displayed below the photo and the slideshow expands to accommodate.
- Suzette – Distraction Free Writing Mode Themes allows you to enable different themes for in full screen or distraction free editing mode in WordPress. Includes: the Matrix, high-contrast and different paper patterns, and my favorite, Nightsky.
- Fartscroll plugin makes obnoxious noises when you scroll down the screen.
