Perhaps you’re familiar with Fiverr, the very simple (and popular) service and marketplace for people to do ______________ starting at $5.00 has now seen a clone in the making related to WordPress.
I’m not sure how relevant the returns are on this site though as the latest gig was about 20 days or so ago by the site owner himself, paulgc34 – who is tough to pin down exactly but it seems he’s been “around” the web in some places.
WPTasker seems to fill the specific niche for Fiverr-like interaction but it’s not a site that I’d trust and use myself, personally speaking.
It was recently linked to the Advanced WP Facebook group, which might showcase it’s validity in an of itself right there and is an obvious clone, using some white-label software (theme) that can be purchased for $70 bucks or so.
Oh, must there be a clone or WordPress-based copy of everything? Whether or not you like it there still is, and will always be, a market for clones.
On a related but somewhat different note, Fiverr is getting a major upgrade and it looks swell:
Almost looks like Kickstarter in a way (or two).
So, any other recent clones out there that you’ve seen doing little more than copying successful models?
Thanks Ryan for the tip.
