This weekend, WordPressers from all over the world will be tuning in for WordSesh 2—24 hours of nonstop live presentations. WordSesh 2 is organized by Scott Basgaard, Brad Williams, Dre Armeda, Christopher Cochran and Maria Scarpello.
Because travel and time constraints are out of the picture, WordSesh is able to bring together a dream team lineup of speakers! This includes many of Torque’s past contributors including Chris Lema, Brad Williams, Brian Krogsgard, Jason Cosper, Josh Pollock, Matt Medeiros, Pippin Williamson, and Troy Dean.
Better yet, it’s free and you can watch from the comfort of your own home. The WordSesh organizers had this to say about the event:
WordSesh brings together the very best speakers in the WordPress ecosystem. Unlike other live conference-style events happening [in the] community, WordSesh brings them right to wherever you may be. Just sit back and stream the event over YouTube, whether it be on your laptop, tablet or smart TV.
There will be 1 session per hour for 24 hours. In a departure from the first WordSesh, there will be 2 tracks of talks. Feeling a little Aerosmith about this? Don’t worry—all sessions will be available for later viewing in the archive.
Head to WorldTimeServer.com to figure out what time this is in your timezone. For those of you in the US, WordSesh starts on Friday, December 6 at 4pm (PST), 5pm (MST), 6pm (CST), and 7pm (EST).
The rest of the schedule can be found on the WordSesh website, and includes:
- An interview with Matt Mullenweg
- Ask Me Anything with Adii Pienaara
- A WordPress Podcasting roundtable
- Sessions on development, security, design, business and ecosystem
- And much, much more!
Get your coffee and comfy PJs ready for a great weekend of all things WordPress!
