Every month, several new WordPress themes are released, both free and premium. This month the trend was no different as numerous wonderful WordPress themes were released. Quite interestingly, however, is the fact that many of the new themes of January 2014 were based on Twitter Bootstrap.
1. TypeFocus
TypeFocus is a minimal theme based on Underscores. It features a typography-centric layout meant for personal blogs.
2. Bright News
Bright News is a magazine layout theme that comes with custom color schemes, custom shortcodes and Google Fonts integration. It is translation ready and fully responsive, and is also available as a Pro version with additional features for $19.
3. Flato
Flato is a simple and responsive blogging theme with a flat design.
4. Acitpo
Acitpo is a minimal, single-column WordPress theme ideally meant for personal blogs and tumblogs. It supports post formats and is translation ready.
5. Music
Music is a dual-column WordPress theme with a rather flashy layout.
6. Preus
Preus is a fully responsive theme based on Twitter Bootstrap. It sports a magazine layout, and also comes with an optional high-definition Parallax header image.
7. Bootpress
Bootpress is yet another responsive WordPress theme based on Twitter Bootstrap. It supports post formats and offers additional styles via Bootswatch.
8. MiniMag Pro
MiniMag Pro is a magazine layout WordPress theme. It is fully responsive and translation ready and comes with a jQuery slider.
9. Opus
A theme with personality for those who have stories to tell.
Opus is a personal blogger’s theme with a focus on content. It offers terrific reading experience and a fluid layout that looks good across all devices.
10. Future
Future is based on Twitter Bootstrap, supports post formats, is responsive and translation ready. It is also available in a Pro version that comes with additional features and benefits, such as custom sliders, custom widgets and premium support.
11. Journal Box
Journal Box is a colorful WordPress theme meant for personal blogs.
12. Nova
Yet another WordPress theme based on Twitter Bootstrap, Nova caters to the needs of tumbloggers. It supports post formats, custom skins and is responsive. It is also available as Pro version (cost: €35) wherein you get features such as custom shortcodes and video tutorials.
13. Blogly Lite
Blogly Lite is a flat design styled WordPress theme meant for personal blogs and tumblogs. It is fully responsive and translation ready, and also comes with a Pro version that costs $49 and offers premium support.
14. Open Pages
Open Pages is a simple WordPress theme that is translation ready, and also comes with custom language packs (French, Spanish, Portuguese and German).
