Over the weekend, March 27-29, Macworld/iWorld was hosted at Moscone Center in Northern San Francisco, California. Among the Mac-centric festivities was the first-ever 6 About to Break competition. The competition aimed to spotlight the most innovative apps, accessories, software, and utilities uniquely positioned to breakout in the Apple marketplace.

Among the 6 finalists was AppPresser—a plugin that allows you to build a mobile app from the ground up using only WordPress. On the first day of Macworld, March 27, the finalists for 6 About to Break gave a 5-minute presentation of their innovations, followed by a 5-minute Q & A segment. Representing AppPresser were co-founders Brian Messenlehner and Scott Bolinger. The winners were later announced live by an expert-panel of judges. The co-winners of the competition were Glyph and Petcube.
Despite the loss, this is a big win for AppPresser. They were not only selected as a finalist out of hundreds of innovations, but they gallantly represented WordPress—which is most exciting for the entire WordPress community.
