What’s next for Woothemes?
Maria gave a hint into what’s on the horizon for WooThemes. She said “The most popular extension is a bookings extension…it allows you to dates, tables, and seats as a product. It’s in the works.”
Pressing Topics
There are some big names entering into the WordPress space. Companies like GoDaddy and Media Temple now offer managed WordPress hosting. Time will tell what this means for smaller, WordPress-centric hosting sites.
WordPress.com on Jeopardy – WordPress.com was listed as a subcategory under the “dot-com” category on Jeopardy. The answer read, “WordPress.com bills itself as ‘a better way to’ keep one of these Internet diaries.” The question, of course, was “What is a blog?”
BuddyPress adopts features as plugins – BuddyPress is now using the features-as-plugins model for their upcoming development. We can expect to see a variety of feature plugins in the future.
