Interview
Education sector
Boone started out on a track in academia—teaching, studying philosophy, attending graduate school. Boone began utilizing blogs, and WordPress.com in particular, to assign writing assignments in the classes he was teaching. He began to realize the important relationships between a free, open-source tool like WordPress and higher education. With this thought in mind he made his transition into the WordPress community, and has become the lead developer for BuddyPress.
Commons In A Box
Commons In A Box is a free software project birthed as a project of the City University of New York (CUNY). It utilizes the infrastructure that powers the CUNY Academic Commons to provide a free, easy-to-install software package. It provides an effective way to enable you to get your site up and running, all while utilizing various features of BuddyPress.
