Matt Mullenweg is about to rack up a whole lot of frequent flyer points, as he embarks on a jam-packed tour of the Asia Pacific. As announced on Mullenweg’s blog, he is headed to 7 countries during June 2014.
According to a LimeCanvas post about the Australia and New Zealand components of the tour, Mullenweg is touring the Asia Pacific to “help spread the WordPress brand and interact with established communities that support the open source CMS.”
Here are the details for the events:
- Seoul – Sunday, June 1
- Jakarta – Monday, June 2
- Singapore – Wednesday, June 4
- Tokyo – Friday, June 6
- Osaka – Saturday, June 7
- Manila – Monday, June 9
- Melbourne – Thursday, June 12
- Sydney – Monday, June 16

Note: Some of the events may already be fully booked, however you can add yourself to the wait list. Organizers for certain cities are currently looking for larger venues.
Mullenweg’s tour is a great chance for people in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand to hear from the WordPress founder on the future of the web’s most popular CMS. The sessions will be interactive, so if you’ve got a burning question you’ve been dying to ask, this is your opportunity!
Mullenweg visited Australia for WordCamp in November 2008, and based on the photos on his blog, it looks like he had a good time . . .
Will you challenge Matt Mullenweg to a rematch during his Asia Pacific tour?
