A Week of REST organizers are offering two full-ride tickets to the event for students and underrepresented groups in the tech industry.
The conference is a week-long ‘boot camp’ dedicated to helping teach developers how to use the REST API, which be held at Darwin Lake, Matlock in the UK from Sept. 5-9 in the United Kingdom. People should apply by July 29 on the website.
The list of eligible applicants includes those who are unemployed, underemployed, students, and under-represented groups in tech such as women, transgender, and BAME applicants.
Winners will receive access to all workshops and training, accommodation, meals, and transportation.
“The WordPress REST API is transforming how people use WordPress, opening it up to new technologies and communities. We want to enable people from under-represented groups in technology to develop the skills they need to use the REST API and further their career,” said Siobhan McKeown, Events Director at Human Made in the announcement.
Fill out the form by midnight CTE on July 29. All applicants will be emailed with the decision on August 5. If you have any questions, you can email [email protected].
This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who is unable to attend the conference to learn how to harness the power of the REST API.
