WordCamp Europe announced the second batch of speakers today including: Heather Burns, Sasha Endoh, Tom Greenwood, Alice Orru, David Lockie, and Joshua Strebel.
This year, speakers will be announced in waves leading up to the event. The team chose 48 speakers from a group of over 300 submissions.
Today, the team released a group of speakers look at the human side of WordPress — touching on topics ranging from customer support to using WordPress for good.
“Making Your Voice Heard: How to Win Friends and Influence Policy”
This talk by digital law specialist, Heather Burns, looks at how the internet is governed, and how you can claim your place in it.
“Using WordPress For Good”
Designer and front-end developer, Sasha Endoh, takes a look at the needs of nonprofit organizations and how they are using WordPress.
“Zero Carbon WordPress”
This talk by co-founder of Wholegrain Digital, Tom Greenwood, examines how the WordPress community can tackle climate change and do good for the environment.
“How I Started Working On Customer Support for a Popular WordPress Plugin as a Total Newbie”
Alice Orru became a multi-language customer support agent for WP Media with little knowledge about the platform. She tells her story in this talk.
“How to Grow From Freelancer to Agency Owner”
This talk by Founder and Director of Pragmatic, David Lockie, goes into how to grow a full business with 40 employees in only five years. Learn how to find employees, keep them around, and create a corporate culture.
