Have a plugin that you can’t live without? Something that makes your daily life easier? Show it some love!
Voting for Torque’s 2022 Plugin Madness is now open. In its seventh year, this bracket-style competition pits the best plugins from around the community against each other.
You nominated over 300 plugins and we narrowed them down to an impressive lineup of 64 strong competitors. Voting starts Monday of each week and goes until we crown the winner. Plugins are sorted into four categories, Optimization, Maintenance, eCommerce, and Marketing. Each one is free and in the WordPress plugin repository.
This year the competition is even more fierce than it was before! We have form plugins, security plugins, translation plugins, and more. Help your favorites make it to the end, or find some you might not have heard of. This is a celebration of what makes WordPress great, so make sure to come back every week to support!

Past Plugin Madness Winners
Plugin Madness has been running for six years and in that time, amazing winners have been crowned. Last year, first time competitor FluentCRM really felt the love earning first place.
The winner of both 2020 and 2019 was page builder, Elementor. It is a free page builder that was created to help designers and developers create anything on WordPress without restrictions. The plugin gives you the power to design on the frontend with real-time results. It allows you to spin up beautiful and functional sites quickly and efficiently.
The previous winner was also a repeat. Smush Image Optimization took the trophy in 2018 and 2017. Smush will optimize your site and make it faster by enacting lazy load, and of course, smushing your images and videos.
We couldn’t talk about Plugin Madness without shouting out the very first winner, Advanced Custom Fields. ACF took the crown all the way back in 2016 and has made an appearance on the bracket every year since.
Voting begins on Mar 7, 2022 and the winner will be announced Apr 28, 2022. Coming back to vote every week is important but we can’t show the love unless you send in a nomination.
