I remember when my friend Nathan Smith first launched the 960 Grid System – remember that? It changed my life and simplified a few years of work as I leveraged it for client work, projects, and even began using it in the WordPress development world.
Well, that was a long time ago and the successor to 960gs is Unsemantic, which at the core uses percentages instead of set # of columns.
Built with SEO in mind as well as with extensibility, it finds the use of both Sass and Compass although there are more than a few of us who will ultimately create own own class names.
It’s fully responsive out of the box which you can see on the demo directly. I tested it out really quickly as well:
This, of course, is a very positive thing for WordPress developers and designers looking to try out a new CSS framework, especially for those that are familiar with the quality work of Nathan Smith and the 960 grid system.
I know there are some serious designers and developers among us here in the WP Daily community – what CSS frameworks are you the most stoked about? Which ones do you use for your own projects?
