We covered the announcement of WordSesh late last month and things are moving along steadily and picking up steam. In a notice that I got it seems that they are now looking for speakers for the first event on April 13, 2013!
Here’s the official notice from Scott Basgaard, one of the Co-organizers of WordSesh:
Hey!
I’m writing you because we are looking for speakers for an upcoming WordPress event called WordSesh on 13 April 2013.
We’ve already received a few emails with interest but we’ve put together a more formal list of people we’d like to reach out to because most importantly you’re awesome, but secondly you sure know a thing or two about WordPress.
WordSesh will be 1 full day of live WordPress presentations/hangouts from all over the world streamed live to users via Youtube’s live stream.
We’ll have a portal for the event at http://wordsesh.org/ with the live stream, a twitter feed and chat. All sessions will be recorded and available for users to view in the future as well.
Tentative schedule is a presentation every hour on the hour from 00:00 – 24:00 UTC. This will actually start Friday evening for most of you in the States.
Topics can be anything really and we wanted to leave that up to you to decide. Beginner to Advanced topics, Interview, WordPress News or even round table style since hangout allows up to 10 people. Just a bunch of you guys hanging out talking WordPress.
If you are interested please head over to the session/speaker form we’ve created:
http://wordsesh.org/sessionspeaker-submission-for-wordsesh-13/
Some of you have contacted us already, but if you could fill out this form as well we’d greatly appreciate it!
Also, I’ve probably missed a lot of people so feel free to ask around if anyone is interested as well.
And definitely feel free to ping me if you have any questions or feedback at [email protected].
Cheers,
Scott Basgaard (Co-organizer of WordSesh)
So hop on over and submit a session (or two…?)!
