Apparently an enterprising individual took the initiative to build a very rudimentary WordPress plugin to activate Google+ Comments into your WordPress-powered blog only a few days after the initial announcement by Google themselves that they were bringing the new comment system to Blogger.
Now its still in early development so dont be surprised if its lacking a few features, I’ll be working on those right away as well as feedback from any of you as well. So I’d imagine a few releases in quick succession as the G+ Commenting System gets rolled out to more people will undoubtedly happen.
The developer, Brandon Holtsclaw, is apparently a fan of the commenting system and has released the plugin in the repository for your own experimentation.
Not too shabby, right?
You can get the comment system plugin here. I will say that Brandon’s own implementation via tabs is a clever way to keep the native commenting system active while giving his community the option of using either one.
This still won’t convince me to necessarily add the plugin though, for my own personal blog(s) or for WP Daily unless there was an overwhelming cry from our community that we needed it.
To me, it’s the same difference as the Facebook commenting system which I feel isn’t just my spot of tea.
