Although these two apps aren’t WordPress-specific I have found both of them to be quite useful and have simply loved the sheer simplicity of the user experience as well as the obvious effectiveness that’s been created. In a ever-increasing world of eCommerce for WordPress the temptation is to continue to add features instead of pull back slightly or at least think critically about what is needed and what is not needed. Many of them are bloated and simply too large to be much use for many people. That’s why these two inspire:
Posthaven Introduces Galleries, Yawn.
Galleries. Who doesn’t love galleries? We use them all the time here and with some of the new carousel options for thumbnails and the like it’s getting pretty slick to use it via Jetpack and the many other plugins out there that’ll give you those features. But WordPress isn’t the only one thinking galleries, some like Posthaven are introducing their version and it’s not too bad, right?

Memberful Goes BETA: Easy Digital Downloads
I got a notice the other day about signing up for an email list that I had completely forgotten about – how many times do you do that? It was from Memberful which is an easy way to sell digital goods, whether it’s software, graphics, fonts, icons, templates, themes, and plugins. Oh my! Anything really. Memberful is really easy (like point and click) to set up. It also optionally integrates quickly with WordPress via a plugin. The guys over at The Theme Foundry have been using it for over a year to sell their WordPress themes and integrate with their WordPress powered website. And, […]
The WordPress Weekend Roundup
This has been a pretty light week in terms of news and breaking stories which is natural because of the holidays. Which is what we’re trying to do! So my team has taken some time off but we’re working (just like a lot of you) and keeping our eyes on our inboxes. It’s not incredibly ideal but it is what it is, […]
