ManageWP continues to update their system and service to provide an even more simple migration to their solution by adding a “clone” tool that will help users and website owners migrate.
With a “few” clicks you can move your entire WordPress-powered site. I got the notice in my inbox to let me know that it’s now available:
You can find the entire online user guide here.
The issue I have is not that they have a migration system for users but that they actually market this as “just a few clicks” – take a look at that above linked guide and you’ll find some extensive instructions that might even scare the more novice user, which even if you’re migrating over an existing ManageWP site it’s more than just a few clicks.
There might not be any better solution than what is currently provided since they can’t control the user’s hosting solution and all the steps it might take to create a new database and more to get things settled and in a place for migration, but perhaps they can think of an even more streamlined process?
Great job guys and this is obviously going to be a long-term win for them as creating a frictionless experience for their users to put more sites under management for ManageWP is good business.
