Honestly, we seriously need more WordPress-centric love on Kickstarter – there are only 3 active projects related to WordPress right now!
After I launched my own Pressgram project on Kickstarter I started searching around for others like me and I found two here that also need our attention and love.
In fact, they are very close to being funded and they need our help to get it done:
The first one is “Learn WordPress” by Alexander Tushinsky who’s actually been teaching WordPress at a local community college in NJ.
He’ll create a new course that’s intuitive for the beginner to ramp up quickly on WordPress as well as provide even more resources and teaching like HTML5 and CSS3.
He’s got 26 days to go and only needs $450 dollars or so to make it a reality. Shouldn’t be a problem to get this fully funded!
MyBookTable is a Bookstore plugin that’s only $200 from their funding goal (so go do that now!). It’s geared toward helping authors sell more books as well as making affiliate money through authorized sellers, like Amazon.com.
With 18 days to go I have no doubt it’ll finalize it’s goal – it’ll be premium service (although the smallest access is free with no support) and if you back it you’ll get a shoutout to your website and even your own book or product.
Have you ever considered doing your own Kickstarter project? Now that we’ve got plugins like Fundify you might opt to use something like that instead, but even for myself, the existing structure and community around Kickstarter was too much to resist and I had to try it with Pressgram.
Give these two projects some love and let us know if you crowd-source your next idea!
