Yes seriously, there is going to be a WordCamp in Transylvania this year.
In case, you didn’t know Translyvania is in Romania and contrary to many folk tales (well romantic novels) is not the home of many vampires and a WordPress community looking to host a WordCamp.
So, if you like WordPress and love Vampires, this is the WordCamp to attend!
Just kidding.
The camp is happening at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca AND Cluj cowork from the 1-2nd of June.
The first day at the University with presentation by special guests and the second day at the Cowork and appears to have a more informal set up for adhoc discussions targetted more towards freelancers.
Previous Camps
This isn’t the first WordCamp in Romania. In fact they’ve been going since 2009 and last year Joost de Valk and Fredrick Townes turned up to WordCamp Bucharest showing the quality of speakers they have attracted.
This year the team have an aim to make the WordCamp more interactive and this is evident in their program for the second day.
The deadline for speakers to apply is the 15th of April 2013 so check out their details if you are interested in speaking.
One More Thing
The conference will actually overlap the Transylvania film festival so you can check out some good films at the same time as good WordPress!
