WordCamp Austin is this weekend, Oct. 21-22, and we are happy to hear they’ll be hosting, KidsCamp, a workshop for students between 12 and 17. That sounds awesome!

When we first heard about the WordCamp Retreat, a meetup that involves some camping and relaxation with other WordPressers, we immediately imagined a group of folks sharing WordCamp horror stories around the campfire. WordCamp developed a new page that makes the status of each new WordCamp public. Called the WordCamp Application Status page, it lists the conference’s name, location, most recent milestone, status, and last update. It even highlights the applicant’s name so it’s easier to get in touch. Thinking about creating a new WordCamp? Check the list first and get involved if one has already been planned. Everything is done through WordCamp Central.
