It’s exciting to hear the announcement that WordCamp Europe, 2013 is now open for registration – this plans to be one of the larger events and should it’s exciting because it really is the “first” large-scale WordCamp to be held in Europe as a whole.
That’s what they are shooting for straight-up:
WordCamp Europe is the first large-scale WordCamp to be held in Europe. By large-scale, we mean big. And by big, we mean awesome. This is a chance for the European WordPress community to gather together in the idyllic town of Leiden to geek-out, share experiences, do business, and most of all, talk WordPress.
It’s an opportunity to welcome WordPress community members from all over the globe to our continent to experience the diversity and culture that makes us so unique.
For starters, it’s going to be a three-day event full of talks (2 days) and then 1 day of contributing to WordPress, which is really neat:
Numbers for the contributing day will be limited, so if you want to come along make sure you’re prepared to write code, write docs, translate WordPress, help out with support, test, and learn more about getting involved.
Limited seating available, so get in early. Rock it out!
