Ah, thank my lucky stars (wait, who says that, really?) – Akismet, one of the most popular spam-fighting plugins for WordPress has announced that they now have a much easier way to sign-in and access the great plugin instead of the previous method of having yet another account to manage.
Maybe you’re using Akismet to stop spam in its tracks, VaultPress to keep your site safe and secure, and Polldaddy to find out what your readers are thinking. Maybe you’re using WordPress.com to build a fancy new site, or Jetpack to supercharge your self-hosted one.
Now you can sign into all these awesome services, including Akismet, with just one account — your WordPress.com account!
Starting today, you’ll be required to sign into Akismet with your WordPress.com account.
The good news is, if you have an Akismet account, you already have a WordPress.com account! Simply sign into Akismet with the credentials you’ve been using all along.
Sweet!
Just use your WordPress.com account and you’ll be good to go. This is just one step closer to providing a conclusive one-stop sign-on solution for all of the applications and Automattic-specific tools that you use to get your publishing done.
Connect directly by logging in here and simply authorizing the connection, like so:
And voila!
Yes, it’s just that easy. Thanks guys for making the process even more streamlined!
