Chardin.js: Simple Overlays for Your Apps
Sheesh. The sheer simplicity of this js script is killing me! And I love it! After encountering this simple jQuery overlay I’ve thought of a million ways to use it in previous projects as well as new ones in the pipe. The inspiration came to Pablo Fernandez via the new composer tour of Gmail (you know, that helpful overlay that shows up when you first boot up). Check it out and see for yourself:
MOSTO: Light Framework for Forms
There are tons of great form plugins out there, some of which we use here on WP Daily (such as Gravity Forms) but I’m always on the lookout for opportunities to try something new, even if it’s not in the form of an off-the-shelf plugin. Helm: The Simplest of Browsers?
I love pure exploratory concept work as it expands the mind and challenges me to see and think differently, especially things that I have become so obtuse and callous towards because of everyday use. Take, for example, the browser. Sure, you may be an ardent Chrome fan, or a long-time Firefox user, or even a Safari or IE die-hard, but have you ever thought about a much more simple layout and design? Look at Sebastiaan de With’s concept of a much more simple browser, what he’s calling Helm:
