I’ll let you take at this Google Hangout session that I had last night with these great WordPressers:
Jelly Event – Success! [Pictures]
We had a sweet Jelly Event this past thursday and we have a slew of people stop by, get some work done, drink coffee, and pretty much chill out. It was a great time and it was honestly our first true “open house” of our new office and we enjoyed having people break it in, check out the amazing mural work by Totem, and connect with others. I think we’ll definitely do it again. We’re glad we could synchronize it a bit with the WordCamp as well this weekend – it just made sense for a lot of out-of-towers. If you […]
Totem: Hunting Down Your Dreams and Killing It
Totem is amazing – there’s no doubt about that. Watching him do his work and craft was mind-blowing, especially considering that he did very little to prepare and just “shot from the hip” (or canister I suppose). I spent a few moments with him right after he finished the last part and talked through his work as well as asked him to give us some advice on how we can do great work by following our passions and creativity. If you’ve got 10 minutes then you need to check this out after the jump:

Today I’m so stoked to share with you something that we’ve been keeping hush-hush for the past 3 weeks and it’s finally time for the epic reveal. As you well know already the parent company of WP Daily, 8BIT, is comprised of a bunch of super-nerds and video gamers who grew up in the 80’s and at the very center of 8-bit retro gaming. This is why we named our company the way we did. Our goal has always been to close the distance between work and play – in fact, we just want to play all the freaking time. So we […]
Behind the Scenes: Meeting Room Delay
Ugh. I hate delays. One of the last pieces to our new office build-out is the one single meeting room that will be both a conference area as well as our soundproof podcasting room for Hello Dolly. Oh, and it’ll also be my official napping room so I can take much-needed breaks from all the activity. But if you’ve ever worked with contractors then you know what I’m talking about with delays – permits from the city, regulations, and being “up to code” all make things incredibly slow. It slays me! We’re almost there and it’s going to be amazing, especially when we get […]
