WordPress security is top-of-mind with a lot of people lately with the big botnet scare that’s apparently still happening in pockets here and there. That’s why we have companies like Sucuri and their great staff that are constantly monitoring the security landscape for those that don’t know about it until it’s too late. Something that fascinates me is the lifecycle of WordPress theme shops, plugins, and the individuals behind them. You see, WordPress has been around long enough now that we’ve seen the rise and fall (or simply closing up shop) of more than a handful of WordPress-centric businesses. What a weekend! WordCamp Phoenix 2013 was a massive success. Hundreds of WordPress-loving (or -curious) folks sat in on expert presentations, got help at the Rockstar Bar, shared a meal, and partied together. Friendships were forged, connections were made, WordPress installations were secured—more happened than one fella can recount.
