All of us have had bad weeks and last week I had one of those myself.
You ever find that everything you do seems to backfire on you? I just couldn’t get out of the cycle! Whether it had to do with work, family, friends, school or a personal project, we’ve all been there. That is life.
The craziest part about it is that its where we learn the most, but its usually never a conscious realization. We are extremely uncomfortable when we are stressed out, receive bad news, or can’t quite figure out why, when, or how.
It’s almost like having growing pains. We hate them so much, but we have to make ourselves understand why they happen. Why are they a part of life?
Learn to Love Bad Days
I have begun to swear by the mindset that through struggle we learn the most. It is when we have our worst days that we prepare ourselves for what is to come.
So whether its figuring out how to code something that will fix the issue, learning how to react in an intense situation, or how to talk with your kids about a problem in school, we are learning from experience, the most powerful way to comprehend anything in life.
When we can look back on a situation and realize what we did wrong or what we can improve on that is where the magic happens. We relate to ourselves, we know our limits, and we know what to do the next time it happens.
Most of all now feel prepared for the future. We can’t live in fear, but we can prepare for the worst.
Blog About It
I don’t know about you, but when I have an experience in my life, whether profound or not, I love to share it with the world.
I want others to learn from my successes as well as my mistakes. That is the best part about blogging. We all learn from each other. None of us have the same exact scenarios as everyone else, so that is why it is important to share our experiences.
Both good times and bad times have immense value in our posts. So if you are having a bad week, remember that next week you can look back on it and realize how good it really was.
Tips to Take on Those Bad Days
Here are a few practical tips to get you going when the going gets rough:
- Remember it could be worse.
- Give yourself a break here and there. You deserve it.
- Think about the end goal and how awesome it will be when you are done.
- Remember to actively listen to others. Feedback is a blessing in disguise sometimes.
- Look to friends and family for confidence, help, and inspiration.
And, as I’ve mentioned above, why not even write about it? So, how do you deal with bad days?
