Gravity Forms got a lot of updates in the last few days and I’m happy for it because we are using that great plugin in both of our new MVP sites, our Job Board and Pros Network.
They’ve come out with four (yes, 4!) updates and/or new releases to their add-on assortment that continues to make this plugin a very catchy purchase – and without question we’ve already gotten our money’s worth.
- Updated automatic update so that it caches remote requests for 12 hours to limit requests to update API.
- Updated phone number when set to standard format “(###)### – ####” to send in required format of ###-###-####.
- Fixed issue with groups not being removed correctly when using the filter “gform_mailchimp_keep_existing_groups” to override default functionality and allow groups to be removed.
Oh, I do like my MailChimp – I don’t use any other newsletter service personally or professionally.
2. PayPal Payments Standard Add-On v1.8
- Updated automatic update so that it caches remote requests for 12 hours to limit requests to update API.
- Fixed issue with redirecting back from PayPal that takes users to the wrong confirmation page on some occasions.
Although I’m getting more and more annoyed with PayPal every single day it’s hard to stay away from it since it’s used almost everywhere. Oh well.
3. User Registration Add-On v1.6
- Added better support for file uploads on forms with update feeds.
- Updated automatic update so that it caches remote requests for 12 hours to limit requests to update API.
- Updated multisite username and email validation to only apply if the correct page is being validated.
- Updated to allow mapping to POST fields for Update User feed.
And 5 major fixes that you may have also experienced like issues with displaying name, BuddyPress issues, email validation, and more.
4. Zapier Add-On v1.0 Beta 1 Released
I’m not actually familiar with Zapier so this one was a new one for me:
Zapier allows you to automate tasks between multiple online services using a Gravity Forms form submission as a trigger. Add a lead to Salesforce and notify your sales team in a HipChat chat room at the same time. Zapier lets you automate all of these tasks and allow Gravity Forms to integrate with hundreds of services.
Sounds a bit like IFTTT if you ask me, right?
Keep it up guys!
