Photos are an important part of the WordPress.com blogging experience. They can illustrate, emphasize, and sometimes even narrate the stories we want to tell. Photos provide an artistic element to millions of WordPress blogs. Some blogs are even centered entirely around photographs, rather than text. These are called photoblogs. Whatever your interest, it’s likely that you can find a photoblog that is captivating to you.
If you’re a blogger using WordPress.com then it’s likely you’ve gone through the process of individually uploading and scheduling photos for your blog. To help facilitate this process, Automattic has developed a favorable panacea—Postbot.
This application enables you to efficiently upload and schedule multiple photos at a time. Simply upload your photos, and Postbot will create an individual post for each of them. Each post is then automatically scheduled to publish over a number of days.
Postbot is ideal for all WordPress bloggers who’ve dealt with the tedious process of scheduling photos to post, but it will probably alleviate the most pain for photobloggers—for obvious reasons. Imagine not having to manually create and schedule each individual post. You could save so much time (and possibly frustration).
This application is compatibile with all WordPress.com blogs and Jetpack-powered WordPress.org blogs. To install Postbot just click the Connect with WordPress.com button, and then “Authorize” the connection.
Postbot eliminates a potentially time consuming process, allowing you to focus on the more important things: like capturing the right photo.
