We’re passionate about manifestos here at WP Daily – it’s because it helps everyone get on the same page as to where the organization is headed. Internally it helps provide direction for the conversations that we have about a product or service or even blog and for our readers and growing community it gives them a foundation of understanding and something they can begin to promote. ManageWP has just shared their’s in a neat infographic-style:
Need Moar Stickers! Friends of WP Daily Locker!
Since we’re starting to collect swag of all types (accepting bribes obviously), we’ve dedicated a unique place for all of that on one of our lockers that we have in the office. It’s right next door to our WooVille poster and it’s within reach of our fantastical unicorn as well as our power-up joystick light switch so your sticker will have a nice and permanent home with us! So, feel free to send us anything that might “stick” on our “Friends of WP Daily Locker” and we’ll make sure it gets up! Word to your sticker.
Use Justin Tadlock's Hybrid Base for Your New Theme
And I must stress new theme – you see, this wasn’t created for people to create child themes on (it’s no parent good sir!) but rather for creating entirely new themes. It’s simple HTML with a light mix of the appropriate WordPress template tags and Hybrid Core functions. There’s a base style.css file […]
WordCamp Guidelines Survey Open to All
We’ve reported previously that there has been a WordCamp Guideline survey that has been making the rounds and I spent some time even to answer it myself as I am a current WordCamp co-organizer (WordCamp Atlanta 2013). We have since felt that the next […]
Another Threeme Day with a Superhero!
If you didn’t catch the first “threeme” day then you’ll be pleasantly introduced to yet another day where three new themes have been released on WordPress.com! They are called Photographer, Superhero, and Sidekick. It’s almost as if it’s like Spiderman (Photographer), Batman (Superhero), and Robin (Sidekick) day or something. Check them out:
