Matt Mullenweg to Host DradCast, Ask Qs!
DradCast is chugging along just fine with them bumping into their 6th episode very soon. In fact, they’ve managed to get Matt Mullenweg to help host the next one which will be broadcast live at 8:00pm EST next Wednesday, the 27th. You’re not going to want to miss it.
DradCast Episode #005: Hotel, Motel, Holiday Inn
Show Notes Host Chris Lema started using WordPress in 2005 because of how user-friendly it is for customers. He’s still active in the WordPress community—consulting with different companies to help them think through strategy. Chris attends about 6 WordCamps a year, in addition to starting his own WordPress events. One such event is in Cabo, where folks can spend time relaxing in villas while talking shop about WordPress. He is also the creator of WPwatercooler, one of the more popular WordPress weekly shows. You can contact Chris on Twitter @chrislema, or on his website. Host intro In the last few months we’ve seen several […]
An Interview With Dre Armeda, CEO of Sucuri Inc
Today our WPOI is Dre Armeda. Yeah, that guy. He’s been around WordPress forever and is also one-half of the Dradcast team. You’ll certainly want to get his perspective on what he thinks WordPress needs in the future.
The WordPress Weekend Roundup
It’s been a relative “light” week as I look back on the past 7 days – although we’ve had a record amount of posts published this past week the other sources of news articles has been relatively small. And when I say “small” I don’t mean small-small as there’s always a lot going on. Just compared to the previous week I suppose. I’m rambling. In anycase, here are some great articles that you may have missed that we didn’t cover – and don’t forget to enter into our BlogDroid Giveaway!
DradCast Has the World's Longest Intro, Ever
We’ve mentioned that DradCast was coming and it hasn’t even been two full weeks and they actually have two broadcasts in the can – nice! Using Google Hangouts they’ve recorded two episodes with Cory Miller and John Hawkins which have covered a host of topics, from theme development, GPL, the global economy, design, and more. It would be hard to pin-down exactly what each episode is succinctly about but that doesn’t really bother me at this time – I love the fresh flavor and conversation style of the work so far and how could you possibly go wrong with the world’s longest intro bumper ever? […]
DradCast Launches Site, First Episode Feb 13!
As we first reported here as BrAngelina and then saw a scoop here DradCast has launched as they said they would and have shared that their first episode is coming in no less than 8 days. You’ve got some new options here as well as you can sign up to be one of the hosts or even submit content. Their Host submission form reminds me of VaultPress old BETA signup form:
DradCast: The Inside Scoop
Every road, it seems, runs through a part of the San Tan Valley in Arizona. Consider the facts: In January 2011, Brad Williams and Dre Armeda were on stage at WordCamp Phoenix to talk security – their first in-person meeting. The first time the phrase DRAD was ever used to represent the pair was at the SanTan brewery at Pressnomics in the fall of 2012. The first time I caught wind that a new show might arise was just a few weekends ago at WordCamp Phoenix 2013 (you guessed it, at the SanTan). When it was first reported that Brad […]
DradCast – It's Like the WordPress BrAngelina!
Man, my Photoshop skills are so legit~! Brad Williams and Dre Armeda are coming together in a collaboration of epic proportions calling it “Dradcast” a’la BrAngelina, most likely another podcast-esque endeavor that’ll bring back the two who once joined forces on WP Late Night with WPCandy. I can only imagine what they’ll be covering but if you don’t mind having these two fill your ears with sweet-nothings then you can sign-up to be notified on their temporary homepage here:
