Last month, Cole Henley wrote a brief thought on The Pastry Box Project. I know we’ve only just met but in 2013 I want you to promise me something. Write more, help others more, be confident that you know more than you think because I guarantee there will be people who can learn from your experiences and knowledge. I bet you know more than you think. That simple thought really resonated with me. In particular, I found the same phrase bouncing around in my head. Write more, help others more. As members of the WordPress community, this is our mantra. […]

The WordPress Weekend Roundup
It’s been a relative “light” week as I look back on the past 7 days – although we’ve had a record amount of posts published this past week the other sources of news articles has been relatively small. And when I say “small” I don’t mean small-small as there’s always a lot going on. Just compared to the previous week I suppose. I’m rambling. In anycase, here are some great articles that you may have missed that we didn’t cover – and don’t forget to enter into our BlogDroid Giveaway!
Behind the Scenes: Joystick Light Switch
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hah66fJhxNY&feature=youtu.be Tom introduces one of the small things that we installed recently to simply up the level of fun that we have in the office. There’s always opportunity for adding a little bit more flavor, right?
The WordPress Weekend Roundup
Another crazy week this week, right? I feel like there’s a never-ending flood of great content that’s being created about WordPress and related topics of conversation. It makes our jobs incredible easy and incredibly difficult at times because we have to identify the topics that we want to cover more fully and the ones that we can only point to and say “Go check this out!” In anycase, here’s your weekly roundup of conversations that you may have missed:
Upload Images to Comments!
Occasionally Tom, our Technical Editor here at WP Daily, does something good enough to make it here on the blog (just kidding!) and he’s recently made an updated to one of his plugins, Comment Images, that I thought we’d try here on the blog. What is it? Simple enough: Enables your readers to easily add images to their comments. There’s not much more to it to be honest. I uploaded it this morning and I gave it a quick test – it works, as intended:

Whew. Another week, come and gone. It’s getting faster it seems, right? I mean, it’s already February! Where did the first month go and how are we almost half-way through the second? There have been a lot of great conversations and great content being shared all over the place and we couldn’t possibly have gotten to it all – so in our typical fashion, here’s our Weekend Roundup:
Hello Dolly: Episode 3 – Indie Gamers, Vetting Plugins, and Jake Caputo
In the latest episode of Hello Dolly, we set two new records for our budding podcast: We featured our first guest: Sir Jake Caputo We recorded our longest episode clocking in right at an hour and 12 minutes. Though the episode is a bit longer than the usual (though some of you have been asking for longer episodes), we’re eager for you guys to check it out.
The WordPress Weekend Roundup
Wow. Another crazy week in the land of WordPress and we’ve been at the very center of some big conversations. It’s been a fantastic experience to see the community pull out all the stops to support each other around licensing and the GPL. With Collis Ta’eed’s response in regards to Envato’s stance as well as a much more clear look at the differences between Automattic and the WordPress Foundation things are starting to settle and we’re starting to get back to business as usual. Actually, let’s be honest – it’s always been business as usual and most of us haven’t lost […]
The WordPress Weekend Roundup
Wow. Has this week been an interesting week or what? With people swirling around the GPL debate yet again there hasn’t been much else that people have been talking about – in fact, it’s generally been a fairly quiet week. Of course, we aren’t aware of everything happening in the WordPress universe (at least not yet), but here are a few things that you’ll want to check out that we weren’t able to tackle head-on in the past 168 hours. Enjoy your weekend folks!
