It seems like it may be so. We got an inside look into an upcoming plugin and theme that can help others using WordPress to crowd fund/source there next great project. It looks like they’ve created both a theme and an add-on via Pippin Williamson’s plugin Easy Digital Downloads and it might just be amazing. So we touched based with Adam Pickering and he gave us a real 411. Check it:
WordPress, Vampires, Transylvania, Oh My!
Yes seriously, there is going to be a WordCamp in Transylvania this year. In case, you didn’t know Translyvania is in Romania and contrary to many folk tales (well romantic novels) is not the home of many vampires and a WordPress community looking to host a WordCamp. So, if you like WordPress and love Vampires, this is the WordCamp to attend! Just kidding.
NYC Meetup Gives Back Through Their RSVPs
The creativity and entrepreneurship via the NYC Meetup Group knows no bounds! Steve Bruner has shared that this month is a unique month with the meetup as they have started a new campaign and initiative that seeks to give back to their community: This month at the WordPress NYC meetup, we’re starting something new: WPNYC GIVES BACK. High DPI Post Format Icons via Natko Hasic
I’ve been taking a look at the new Genericons so as to see if I want to use them in any new and upcoming projects and as a result I’ve spent some time also looking for alternatives. Man, do you remember when it was so much more simple? Sheesh! Well, Natko Hasić dropped us a line last weekend and let us know that as a WordPress designer and developer he […]
Brad Parbs Adds Hooks to Starter Theme
Brad Parbs sent us a note that I thought was neat enough to cover as the Theme Hook Alliance continues to grow it’s influence around the WordPress neighborhood. And besides, he told us that we should share it – and so, we’re sharing it (besides, he’s a “rockstar,” at least via his own website)! Recently he just added all of the hooks from the Alliance into the starter theme, called “_s,” to make everyone happy.
