It’s been an insane week – and it’s been nothing short of a miracle. Finishing our Epic Gaming Mural, Holding our Jelly Event, organizing and finishing out WordCamp Atlanta (and the VIP after party), launching a Kickstarter Campaign, and managing all the other “normal” things in life – yikes, it’s just been insanity! We’ve been getting a few hours of sleep each night, if we’re lucky. As you can see, Chris is trying to recover… at 8:00am in the morning. But without further ado, here you go:

Jelly Event – Success! [Pictures]
We had a sweet Jelly Event this past thursday and we have a slew of people stop by, get some work done, drink coffee, and pretty much chill out. It was a great time and it was honestly our first true “open house” of our new office and we enjoyed having people break it in, check out the amazing mural work by Totem, and connect with others. I think we’ll definitely do it again. We’re glad we could synchronize it a bit with the WordCamp as well this weekend – it just made sense for a lot of out-of-towers. If you […]
Mojo Themes Goes 100% GPL
Mojo Themes has been around for a little bit of time – over 3 years to be precise. They’ve grown quite a bit in the last year and the growth doesn’t seem to be stopping. Which is why they announced yesterday that due to growth and how they, as a company, impact the WordPress community, they are going completely GPL: We are currently working towards having our licensing change to be fully compliant in regards to WordPress products. With the change we would have all WordPress themes and plugins sold on any MOJO Marketplaces will be licensed under the GPL. This is […]
Pressgram: Filtered Photos + iOS + WordPress
I’ve been working on an iOS application for the last 6 months, working nights, weekends, and with any spare free time that I had to create a solution that I’ve been wanting ever since I left Instagram. A few weeks ago I realized that the project had gotten to a point where I had to make a critical decision – continue in earnest at my current pace or speed things up a bit. I decided that the latter option was much more attractive. As a result I submitted a Kickstarter Campaign earlier this week and it was accepted yesterday! I couldn’t […]

Check out these 2 videos from Andrew Nacin, the first is a 45 minute discussion on WP_Query. Certainly not for the faint of heart but it should provide food for thought. The second video is an interesting 38 minute review of what’s happened in WordPress from 2010-2012 and what’s coming down the pipe. Enjoy after the jump!
Favoritism? WordPress.org Showcases Creative Market
I had a hard time understanding exactly what the stink was all about until I went to WordPress.org directly and saw that there is now a spot on the bottom left hand part promoting The Creative Market. A few people noticed citing “favoritism”:
Product Pier: eCommerce Hosting via WooCommerce
We briefly referenced Product Pier on a Weekend Roundup, a hosted eCommerce solution that has yet to be fully revealed, and we went ahead and signed up for some updates so as to stay in the loop as they continue to develop the system out. Paul Brody, one of the founders, recently sent out a request for more information so that they can build the best product possible as well as sharing more information about where they are headed: Our core passion at ProductPier is to help other entrepreneurs and in this regard, specifically entrepreneurs within the eCommerce space. The […]
