It's a Brad Brad World – Security and His WP Agency
Ok, I’ll admit that on occasion I’ll sit on my couch with my wife long enough to see what passes as “entertainment” these days via reality TV and to be honest, the fashion shows are some of the more interesting. The personalities, at the very least, have some creative depth! And Bravo has some of the best shows – without question. It’s a Brad Brad World isn’t one of them though (he was such a punk for using his position with Rachel Zoe to spin his own show!) but it did give me a title of this blog post today. […]
The WordPress Weekend Roundup
What a week – how was yours? I’m spending my time in Florida on a mini-vacation of sorts (still very-much working) and it’s been good so far. The team back home in Atlanta hasn’t let anything burn to the ground, so that’s good news. Hope you are finding some rest and relaxation this summer my friends!
The WordPress Weekend Roundup
Tomorrow is Mother’s Day which means that every married man with kids (well, not all of them…) is fretting about doing something legit tomorrow. I’ll probably be at my local Target early tomorrow trying to find some crappy Mother’s Day card that means little more than the ridiculous $4.99 that I will pay for it. Hm… I can do better (and so can you)! Ok, but before that, enjoy our weekly roundup. 🙂
3.6: New Post Formats Confuse Most Users?
It’s already a conversation that’s brewing (and has been brewing) for a bit of time but most WordPress users may not even know that there’s a change coming down the pipe with a new look to post formats in 3.6 (Beta 1 dropped yesterday) that may catch them by surprise. Brad Williams’ shared his thoughts yesterday without reservation about the new post formats: I’m a firm believer that the new Post Format UI buttons are going to cause a lot of confusion to beginner WP users http://t.co/kPy29gNaeR — Brad Williams (@williamsba) April 4, 2013 He specifically calls out newer WP […]
The WordPress Weekend Roundup
This past week has been an absolute blur – busyness hit an all-time high today as I had a keynote at a conference early in the morning, my daughter’s soccer game, and 3 back-to-back-to-back birthday parties and then my wife had a girl’s night out while I took care of the kids. Whew. I’m drained. But it’s a “good” type of drained, you know? Hope you’re having a great weekend yourself. With that, here’s your Weekend WordPress Roundup:
DradCast Has the World's Longest Intro, Ever
We’ve mentioned that DradCast was coming and it hasn’t even been two full weeks and they actually have two broadcasts in the can – nice! Using Google Hangouts they’ve recorded two episodes with Cory Miller and John Hawkins which have covered a host of topics, from theme development, GPL, the global economy, design, and more. It would be hard to pin-down exactly what each episode is succinctly about but that doesn’t really bother me at this time – I love the fresh flavor and conversation style of the work so far and how could you possibly go wrong with the world’s longest intro bumper ever? […]
DradCast Launches Site, First Episode Feb 13!
As we first reported here as BrAngelina and then saw a scoop here DradCast has launched as they said they would and have shared that their first episode is coming in no less than 8 days. You’ve got some new options here as well as you can sign up to be one of the hosts or even submit content. Their Host submission form reminds me of VaultPress old BETA signup form:
