The rise of the smartphone has been good for WordPress developers. Millions of clients have used WordPress to transition to mobile and grow their businesses. But going mobile is a double-edge sword. As clients go mobile they get more sophisticated and want to take full advantage of smartphone features – but WordPress doesn’t support many of these out-of-the-box. So what do you do when a client says: I want a customer to see nearby stores on their phone! Or something similar? How can you make sure that you win the job rather than an app developer? What Would the Curriculum of WordPress School Be?
What if there were WordPress School? Would you take courses in there or would you like to teach in there? Or both? I know I would. Of course, he can’t really ever change his theme now that it’s locked up as the […]
Impressed: My First Look at Tackk
Tackk is one of those web applications that when I first heard about it and tried it out I was nearly offended about how easy it was to start creating content. But I realized that this was a brilliant way of getting new users to understand explicitly how the software works and how it can help them start building a simple page of interactive content. What the […]

Heck, we’ve even begun to share a few web applications that are built specifically using WordPress. The thing is, we’ve not actually spent time talking about why WordPress is a viable application platform, how it compares to other frameworks that are already available, and how to actually being using WordPress for Application Development.
