The Torque team ducked out of our workspace for a bit yesterday to attend Telx’s MarketplaceLIVE, a cloud computing conference boasting the tagline “Enhancing Connectivity Through Insight.” With over 600 registered attendees, the event was put on by leading interconnection and data center provider Telx and held at the beautiful Nob Hill Masonic Center. Dozens of exhibitors from all corners of the cloud computing ecosystem came out to share their visions and interact with their community. A little under six months in, Torque gleefully welcomes Kirby Prickett in her new role as Editorial Assistant. I first met Kirby at WordCamp San Francisco, the day of Torque’s launch, where Kirby expressed her interest in journalism—and writing about WordPress specifically. We subsequently worked on an article together, and the experience was terrific. A native of Brisbane, Australia, Kirby has past professional experience in the fields of economics, public policy, and government.
