So… Who Calls the Shots on WordPress?
You do. Or, all of us do because WordPress is not owned outright by anyone specifically. Design is Philosophy shares their perspective on this interesting tension between ownership, copyright, and development:

After WooCommerce has broken the half-a-million mark in downloads the WooThemes Team has decided to celebrate in style by offering 50% of all WooCommerce extensions – just use WC500K and you should be all set! Daily Theme & Plugin Roundup – 1.27.2013
Is Sunday the start of the week, or end of the week? I consider it the start of the week personally. I guess that means that some plugin authors got a great start to the week. There are plenty of both new and updated plugins to share today. One of the plugins that stands out to me right away is Hello Ziggy. Not because I’m a David Bowe fan, but because the title includes a #shoutout for our Hello Dolly podcast. I don’t think we will rename it to Hello Ziggy, but crazier things have happened. Daily Theme & Plugin Roundup 1.26.2013
Today marks the 3rd week that we have been posting the Daily Theme & Plugin Roundup. It has been great to share these with you and we have really appreciated the positive we have received. My favorite part of the roundup is getting to share the work that others in the WordPress community are doing and being able to connect with them as well through the comments. Just the other day one of readers Ben shared one of his plugins that was similar to one that we had posted. Here’s the list with a special #shoutout plugin. Check it out!

Of course, we aren’t aware of everything happening in the WordPress universe (at least not yet), but here are a few things that you’ll want to check out that we weren’t able to tackle head-on in the past 168 hours. Enjoy your weekend folks!

I’m hoping to have some time to play around with a few of them this weekend. How about you? Here’s the long awesome list:
Sensei: Welcoming Instructional Ninjas
Monday morning the fine fellas at WooThemes released a new Learning Management System (LMS) plugin called Sensei. If you read my post about e-learning and WordPress, you recall that I wrote about another plugin, WP Courseware from Fly Plugins. At the time I wrote about WP Courseware, it didn’t support quizzes, which meant you had to create them on your own (using a plugin like Gravity Forms). But today that’s different, because WP Courseware has been aggressively improving its own plugin. So which one do you choose?
2 New Free Themes at WP.com – My Life, Silesia
We saw a lot of activity last year as a number of free and premium themes were released – over 65 as reported and we can expect this pace to continue this year, and then some. Two new free WordPress.com themes have been released, the first named My Life by Justin Tadlock and the second named Silesia by NattyWP. Take a look at some of the screens as they are quite pretty:
