In WordPress 4.5, you will be able to link text with an inline toolbar. Because this will replace the link modal, you can access it through the gear icon in the toolbar. It will now look like this: Along with the links, there are new text options: “We also added some more text patterns, or shortcuts if you like: `text` will change to<code>text</code> and — (or more dashes) will change to <hr> while typing,” the annoucement said. Last April, the Internet community prepared for Google’s Mobilegeddon, an algorithm created to target mobile searches. Starting this May, the search engine is rolling out an update to mobile search results. According to Google’s announcement, “[The update] increases the effect of the ranking signal to help our users find even more pages that are relevant and mobile-friendly.” What does this mean for WordPress?
