The Plugin Repository Refresh Is Live
The new Plugin Repository went live earlier this week. After several iterations, the team released the finished product earlier this week. In general, the entire repo looks cleaner, and provides more intuitive user experience. The homepage has a big search box right at the top, making it much easier to navigate. The new site features new navigation that draws attention to “Featured Plugins” and “Popular Plugins.” It even includes a new “Beta Plugins” section, where developers can test out their new product and get feedback. Applications Now Open for Day of REST Diversity Scholarship
The REST API had an amazing year in 2016. Not only was it used by notable websites including the Guggenheim, New York Times, and Wired, content endpoints were merged with core in 4.7. In March, developers from all over will gather in Boston to discuss and learn about the API in the second annual Day of REST.
