It seems like Page.ly is doing some serious moving these days with new products, updates, throw in an acquisition, and even new partnerships – what aren’t they doing these days? Oh, and yes, that’s right, they are even planning a conference (which is growing more-awesome every day) called Pressnomics. Yikes! But this partnership with Cart66 is pretty neat and one that’s probably the first of many new partnerships to come from other players I would imagine:
A Premium Yoast SEO Plugin Coming Soon? Yes.
That’s what it sounds like via Joost de Valk’s post this morning as he announced that he’s looking for more help as it pertains to the community forums that sometimes can get overrun (I wonder if this article by ManageWP had anything to do with this recent announcement: Is WordPress SEO by Yoast Broken?): Starting in August, we’ll start offering a premium version of the plugin, including support (as in, you’ll get a direct email address and we’ll reply to your questions as soon as we can), at a yearly fee, starting from $89 for a single site to $349 […]
Evan Solomon Moves On to Join Medium
Evan Solomon, who left Automattic back in January of this year, has found a new watering hole (and work) with Medium, a much-talked about blogging platform by Evan Williams and co. (We showcased an interview via Kevin Rose and Evan Williams yesterday, btw.) He announced it on his blog about his move and we’ve been pinged a number of times already by our community as well: Today was my first day as an employee at Medium. I’ve been doing contract work for about two months, but last Friday I accepted an offer to join full time. I’m excited and I want […]
Digg and AOL Reader: Feedly Alternatives I Like
It’s true. Google Reader is finally gone. But that’s not a major issue, right? Because you’ve already migrated to your new solution (I hope). Well, I’ve been spending the past few months with Feedly and it’s been great – it’s helped me stay up to date with all the things that I need and I’ve been happy (not terribly happy, but happy) with the results. Although, it might be second best now that I’ve tried Digg’s new implementation:
Annual WP Survey – Go Take it Now!
Yes, it’s that time of year again and if you’ve got a few spare moments then please head over here to take the annual WP Survey. WordPress (and the rest of the community) use this feedback ultimately to help make the community and the product better – so it’s dependent on your participation and submissions! So head over there today and get it done. The entire community thanks you!
Interview: Evan Williams and Kevin Rose
Evan and Kevin are two pillars of the tech community and people that I have come to really respect and enjoy as I see them venture off and do pretty amazing things. Each time, though, it seems that both of them are getting better and better at isolating their interests and then executing really, really well. Evan in particular is the founder of Medium, a publishing system that I’ve used in the past and that is worth keeping tabs on – which is why I’ve posted a recent video interview so you can learn more about him and his thoughts […]

This plugin via the Extendd network might be one option to look into and it just got updated (rewritten from the groundup) to see version 2.0:
Mastered SVN? Why Not Learn GIT Now?
Wow, the heart people have for education is sometimes literally mind-blowing. You know, the people that spend time building into others and investing into others with their time and apps and services. For example, although many of you may know SVN as it relates to WordPress you may not be as familiar with Git, which is a growing segment of WordPressers. Not sure where to start? Why not try this amazing tutorial and overview:
