Sometimes you just need an infographic that engages the visual senses a bit more so that you can actually “get” the information to sit squarely in your brain long enough to retain it, am I right? It’s Monday and it’s also tax day! “It’s the most, wonderful time of the year”, NOT. I’m not sure why there’s universal hatred for April 15th. Oh yeah! bbPress continues to move forward with strong development moving into a mature 2.3 with over 150 fixes and enhancements since 2.2. Although, the comment form on this announce post is showing a few issues with such things as search. I would review carefully the changes listed out and upgrade with a possibility of reverting back if things get too ugly for you.
Feeling a bit distracted on this Monday morning? Yes, me too. In an ever-increasing fight to stay focused on the things that need to get done I have to actively reduce and pare down things that are causing those disruptions. For example, a recent absolute life-saver is turning the “Do Not Disturb” feature on via my iPhone and never turning it off. I was tasked with reviewing the MyCurator plugin from the folks over at TargetInfo and I’ve got to say, I don’t get it. I’ve watched the four and half minute intro video three times, read through the entire site twice and all MyCurator seems like is a RSS reeder with some slick options for posting other people’s content to your own blog.
Another day, another re-boot, and it went from bad to worse. My web host had emailed me about having to reboot my server. I had decided it best to go with managed (although not dedicated WordPress hosting) instead of unmanaged, as I didn’t have the time to deal with all the ins and outs of dealing with the technical details of taking care of my own server.
